Tématem knihy je reflexivní deagentní konstrukce v češtině, nahlížená především z perspektivy diachronní. Cílem teoretické části je zasadit dosavadní poznatky o této konstrukci do kontextu mezinárodní literatury orientované na problematiku reflexivity a deagentnosti i lingvistické literatury teoretické, část analytická pak představuje vlastní materiálový výzkum užívání zkoumané konstrukce v českých textech z 15.–17. století.

The monograph deals with the Czech reflexive agent-demoting construction, which is studied mostly from a diachronic perspective. The aim of the theoretical part is to incorporate the existing knowledge about the Czech construction into the context of both the international literature on the issues of reflexivity and agent demotion and the theoretical linguistic literature in general, the analytical part presents original material research on the usage of the construction in 15th–17th-century Czech texts.
