Zpráva informuje o založení České asociace geomorfologů (ČAG) a jejich hlavních aktivitách. ČAG navázala na činnost Geomorfologické komise (založena v roce 1988) při České geografické společnosti. Geomorfologie se začala v rámci geografických disciplín osamostatňovat. V roce 1989 na mezinárodní konferenci geomorfologů ve Frankfurtu nad Mohanem vznikla Mezinárodní geomorfologická asociace - IAG) a Československo patřilo k zakládajícím členským státům. U nás aktivity probíhaly pod Geomorfologickou komisí. Po rozpadu Československa skončilo i členství v IAG. Na mezinárodním kongresu IAG v Kanadě (1993) valné shromáždění souhlasilo s členstvím České republiky v IAG. V lednu 1994 shromáždění českých geomorfologů v Olomouci na Palackého univerzitě a konstituovalo CAG a zvolilo prvního předsedu (V. Vilímek). Výsledky výzkumů prezentuje ČAG na pravidelných mezinárodních konferencích a ve společném časopise (s Asociací slovenských geomorfologů) - Geomorphologia Slovaca et Bohemica.

The report informs about the founding of the Czech Association of Geomorphologists (CAG) and their main activities. CAG continued the activities of the Geomorphological Commission (founded in 1988) at the Czech Geographical Society. In 1989, the International Association of Geomorphologists (IAG) was established at the conference in Frankfurt am M., and Czechoslovakia (CZ) was one of the founding member states. In our country, the activities took place under the Geomorphological Commission. After the disintegration of CZ, membership in the IAG also ended. At the congress of IAG in Canada (1993), the General Assembly approved the C.R. membership in the IAG. In January 1994, the assembly of Czech geomorphologists in Olomouc at Palacký University constituted the CAG and elected the first chairman (V. Vilímek).The results of the research are presented by CAG at international conferences and in a journal (with the Association of Slovak Geomorphologists) - Geomorphologia Slovaca et Bohemica.
