Publikace se soustředí na široké zpracování historie katedrály sv. Víta, Václava, Vojtěcha a Panny Marie na Pražském hradě, a to všech jejích stavebních fází od 10. do 21. století. Díky širokému spektru spoluautorů přináší nové poznatky jak z historie architektury a umění, tak z historie hudby a liturgie. Práce je rozdělena do dvou svazků, první hovoří o období mezi 10. stoletím a rokem 1541, kdy byl Pražský hrad zasažen požárem. Druhý díl se pak věnuje období od roku 1541 do současnosti.

The publication focuses on the broad processing of the history of the Cathedral of Saints Vitus, Wenceslas, Adalbert and the Virgin Mary at Prague Castle and all its construction phases from the 10th to the 21st century. Thanks to a wide range of co-authors, it brings new knowledge both in the history of architecture and arts and in the history of music and liturgy. The work is divided into two volumes, the first of which refers to the period between the 10th century and 1541 when Prague Castle was hit by a fire. The second part then deals with the period from 1541 to the present.
