Zobrazení umělcova ateliéru je tradičním námětem malby. Kromě zachycení tohoto prostředí a jeho proměn však ukazuje i způsoby, jímž umělci uvažovali o své tvorbě a experimentovali s obrazem jako svébytným prostorem, který jim je k dispozici. Příspěvek se této problematice věnuje na příkladu zejména ateliérů Ludvíka Kohla (1799) a Hippolyta Soběslava Pinkase (1854).

The depiction of the artist´s studio is a traditional subject of painting. Apart from depiction the space and connotations of a studio, it alos shows the ways the artists presented their work and experimented with the space of the painting. The article analysis this question using mainly the example of two studios, by Ludwig Kohl (1799) and Hippolyt Soběslav Pinkas (1854).
