Direct and indirect effect of atmospheric aerosols influence climatic system and environmental interactions. While amount of primary particles can be estimated (e.g. from emission inventories), quantity of the secondary formed particles is dependent on gas precursor concentrations and atmospheric conditions (Dada et al. 2017). New particle formation (NPF) events have been observed in many types of environments and geographical locations (Kulmala et al. 2004, Pushpawela et al. 2018). NPF process is favoured by presence of sulphuric acid, and low-volatile oxidized organic vapours; on the contrary, the process can be supressed by high amount of pre-existing particles in the atmosphere (Dada et al. 2017, Ling et al. 2019). In this work we used data from particle number size distribution to investigate if there are some differences or similarities to growth rate at four background stations located in different types of environment.
