The paper presents results of the excavations of the churches in Žabonosy, Tismice and Český Brod (Central Bohemia). The excavation in Žabonosy has unearthed two Pre-Romanesque building phases of later church from the 12th century. Static problems necessitated various repairs and renovation during the High Middle Ages by the Romanesque basilica in Tismice. Parts of Romanesque masonry were documented in the church of St. Gotthard in Český Brod.
