Na počátku roku 2017 byl proveden povrchový průzkum mezi obcemi Velim a Klipec. Byl vyvolán předchozími nálezy kamenné broušené a štípané industrie. Výzkum prokázal existenci osídlení ze staršího stupně kultury s vypíchanou keramikou (StK II/III) a blíže nespecifikované pozdně eneolitické kultury. Povaha nálezů a stav zachování lokality svědčí o zcela zničené sídlištní lokalitě poblíž polohy Klipce. Jedná se o nově identifikovanou polohu, která pomáhá k pochopení sídelní strategie daných kultur v této oblasti. Zároveň obsahuje stručné svědectví o stavu lokalit v zemědělských oblastech v užším regionu Labe.

At the beginning of 2017, a fieldwalking project was conducted in fields between the villages of Velim and Klipec. It was initiated due to a chance find of polished and chipped stone implements. The project proved the existence of a settlement dating from the early phase of the Stroked Pottery culture (StK II/III) and an unspecified Late Aeneolithic culture. The nature of the finds and the state of preservation of the site testify to a completely ploughed-out settlement at a location not far from a spring area at the site of Klipecká. It is a new discovery of a Late Neolithic settlement which helps us understand the settlement strategy of the Stroked Pottery culture and yet another piece of the puzzle in the mosaic of Late Aeneolithic cultures. At the same time, the paper contains a concise testimony about the state of sites in agriculturally exploited areas in the narrower Elbe River region.
