Cílem akce bylo zprostředkovat kontakt aktuálních mentees s absolventkami a absolventy mentoringového programu pro začínající vědkyně a vědce za účelem podpory a rozvoje tzv. peer-group mentoringu, tedy formy mentoringu, kdy je profesního a osobního rozvoje jednotlivých mentees dosahováno prostřednictvím spolupráce s ostatními mentees. Peer-group je integrální součástí schématu mentoringového programu Národního kontaktního centra – gender a věda. Zároveň kontakt s mentees s jeho absolventy vytváří příležitosti pro vytvoření nových mentoringových dvojic mentor-mentee.

The aim of the event was to create an opportunity for the contact between current mentees and alumni of mentoring program for early-career researchers with the purpose to support and develop peer-group mentoring, the form of mentoring when professional and personal development of individual mentees is reached through cooperation inside the group of mentees. Peer-group mentoring is an integral part of the schema of the mentoring program of the Centre for Gender and Science. At the same time, the contact between mentees and the program alumni creates opportunities for creating new mentoring pairs - mentor-mentee.
