Studie se zabývá proměnou narativních postupů v českých, moravských a slezských německy psaných časopisech z let 1770-1790. Vychází z tezí Lubomíra Doležela o “velké narativní transformaci” a binárního modelu Daniely Hodrové (román smyšlenka vs. román skutečnost). První části studie načrtává historické pozadí rozvoje beletristické prózy v českých časopisech a problematiku jejich kulturního transferu. Druhá část studie zkoumá vliv rozvoje nových časopiseckých žánrů, jako jsou morální týdeníky, na narativní postupy umělecké prózy. V třetí části se studie zaměřuje na pronikání poetiky hnutí Sturm und Drang a britského sentimentalismu, které zkoumá na konkrétních textech Der Philosoph in der Suppe Johanna Ferdinanda Opitze, Die neue Sapfo Christiana Heinricha Spiesse a Der sonderbare Kupler Josefa Herbsta a Josefa Kirpala.

This study examines changes in narrative approaches in (Germanwritten) Czech, Moravian and Silesian belles lettres from 1770-1790. In its examination of historical poetics and changes in narrative methods, it draws on the structuralist studies of Lubomír Doležel (his narrative text transformation model) and Daniela Hodrová (fictive novel vs. reality novel). The study starts with an outline socio-historical background to the emergence of literary periodicals in the Czech Lands in the early 1770s and their authors' publishing strategies. I then considers the transformational impact these periodicals reacted to impulses from Enlightenment poetics such as the sentimentalism of Laurence Sterne and the Sturm und Drang movement, with illustrative interpretations of the novellas Der Philosoph in der Suppe by Johann Ferdinand Opitz, Die neue Sapfo by Christian Heinrich Spiess and Der sonderbare Kupler by Josef Herbst und Josef Kirpal.
