Seminář byl věnován životu a dílu Karla Kruise (1851-1917), profesora kvasné chemie a fotografie na c.k. české vysoké škole technické v Praze. Přednášky zhodnotily přínos Karla Kruise k rozvoji biotechnologie, biochemie, genetice, buněčné morfologie, mikrofotografie a umělecké fotografie v českých zemích i v mezinárodním měřítku.

The seminar was dedicated to the life and work of Karel Kruis (1851-1917), professor of fermentation chemistry and photography at the Czech Technical University in Prague. The lectures evaluated the contribution of Karel Kruis to the development of biotechnology, biochemistry, genetics, cell morphology, microphotography and art photography in the Czech Lands, as well as at the international level.
