Pracovní seminář seznámil odbornou veřejnost – zástupce z prostředí stavebních firem, státní správy a paměťových institucí – s problematikou péče o dřevěné konstrukce historických objektů z několika hledisek: autenticita památek a jejich hmotné a nehmotné hodnoty, staré tesařské nářadí v českých zemích a jeho ostření, práce s vodováhou a příklad vyměřování při opravách tesařských konstrukcí. Dále proběhly praktické ukázky tesání založené na znalosti původních technologií a ukázka výroby celodřevěného plátového spoje pro nahrazení poškozených konců trámů. Lektory byli tesař David Stejskal podílející se na obnovách významných historických staveb v ČR a jeho spolupracovník etnolog a stavitel Jiří Pokorný. Akce se konala za odborné garance a organizační spolupráce Valašského muzea v přírodě, NPÚ ÚOP v Ostravě a CET ÚTAM AV ČR.

The workshop presented the issue of caring for wooden structures of historical buildings to the professional public – representatives of construction companies, state administration and heritage institutions – from several aspects: the authenticity of the monuments and their tangible and intangible values, old carpentry tools in the Czech lands and their sharpening, work with a spirit level and an example of measuring during repairs of carpentry constructions. Further, there were practical demonstrations based on knowledge of the original techniques and an example of a manufacture of a wooden lap joint replacing damaged beam ends. The lecturers were David Stejskal, who is involved in restorations of significant historical buildings in the Czech Republic, and his colleague, ethnologist and builder, Jiří Pokorný. The event was held with the professional guarantee and organizational cooperation of the Wallachian Open Air Museum, National Heritage Institute, Territorial Expert Workplace Ostrava and Centre of Excellence Telč, Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, Academy of Sciences, Czech Republic.
