Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) – showed the presence of virus spheroids and of spindles free in the cytoplasm of midgut epithelial cells and occluded together with virus particles into the spheroids of Ips typographus.
Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) – showed the whole strucrture of the spheroids and clarified some of the structures of the virus free inclusions mentioned in former TEM investigations.
Transmisní elektronová mikroskopie (TEM) – ukázala přítomnost virových sferoidů a vřeten volně v cytoplasmě střevních epiteliálních buněk a virových částic uvnitř sferoidů v Ips typographus.
Rastrovací elektronová mikroskopie (SEM) – ukázala celkovou strukturu sferoidů a objasnila některé struktury volných virových inkluzí v dřívějším TEM výzkumu.
