The international conference focused on research which connects analyses of the migration processes, on the one hand, and the causes of migration–transnational conflicts, wars, global economic inequalities, etc., on the other hand. The conference presented transdisciplinary discussions of migration, particularly across anthropology, sociology, political and legal theories and/or philosophy, both as a theoretical problem and a lived experience. The conference was organised by Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, and Faculty of Humanities, Charles University in Prague, within the Research Programme “Global Conflict and Local Interactions”, Strategy AV21, The Czech Academy of Sciences.
