Der Text befasst sich mit der Person des Metallurgisten und Alchemisten Sebald Schwertzer (1552-1598), der zunächst im Dienste des sächsischen Kurfürsten und ab 1592 als Berghauptmann in Joachimsthal tätig war. Er arbeitete auch als Experte für Kaiser Rudolph II. und wurde für seine Dienste erhob in den Adelsstand. Schwertzer war eine der Persönlichkeiten, die die enge Beziehung zwischen Sachsen und Böhmen auf dem Gebiet der Metallurgie und Alchemie widerspiegelten.

The text deals with the person of the metalurgist and alchemist Sebald Schwertzer (1552-1598) who first worked in the service of the Saxon electoral princes and from 1592 as Berghauptmann in Joachimsthal. He also worked as an expert for the Emperor Rudolph II, who nobilized him for his services. Schwertzer was one of the personalities reflecting the close relationship between Saxony and Bohemia in the field of metallurgy and alchemy.
