Der Text beschäftigt sich mit der Reflexion des gnostischen Denkens in Texten von Susan Taubes und Marija Rybakova. In beiden Romanen bildet das Gnostische einen transitorischen Raum zwischen Leben und Tod und eine Voraussetzung des Erzählens von der Migration und vom Schwanken zwischen Identität und Alterität. Der Text bringt eine umfangreiche vergleichende Analyse beider Romane, die vor allem auf deren philosophischen Subtext zielt. Taubes' Roman wird u.a. als eine Art des „ästhetischen Gnostizismus“ interpretiert, wohingegen der Roman Rybakovas zum „okkultistischen Gnostizismus“ gezählt wird.

The text considers reflection of gnostic thinking in both the novels, in which gnosticism constitutes transit space between life and death and forms a prerequisite for the telling about (i)mmigration and vacillation between identity and alterity. The text proposes a detailed comparative analysis of both the novels, which concentrates mainly on their philosophical subtext. S. Taubes's novel is beside other tings interpreted as an example of „aesthetic“ gnosticism, though A. Rybakova's novel is classified as a type of „occultist“ gnosticism.
