Teorie identity je jednou z nejslibnějších teorií vztahu mezi mozkem a vědomím. V článku hájíme tzv. slabou teorii identity a ukazujeme, jak se dá přejít od pouhé korelace k identitě stavů mozku a stavů vědomí. Tento přechod je klíčový pro výzkum tzv. neurálních korelátů vědomí.

It is argued that the theory of identity is one of the most promising conceptions of the relationship between the brain and consciousness. We defend a weak version of the identity theory and attempt to indicate how to move from mere correlation to the identity of mental and brain states. This move is crucial for the NCC research.
