Studie analyzuje možnosti a limity využití Soupisu židovských rodin z roku 1799 pro historickou demografii. Pramen je charakterizován z hlediska jeho struktury, obsahu jednotlivých rubrik a úplnosti jeho dochování. Autoři došli k závěru, že Soupis z roku 1799 obsahuje podstatně méně komplexní údaje a to zejména ve srovnání se Soupisem z roku 1793. Soupis je méně vhodný pro komplexní historicko-demografické vyhodnocení agregovaných dat, naopak jej lze použít pro mikrostudium vybraných lokalit nebo rodin. Soupis není kompletně dochován (chybí data ze 4 krajů) a obsahuje údaje o 5 414 rodinách. Provedená analýza sídelní struktury a prostorové mobility (sledovány byly dlouhodobé migrace) ukázala, že mobilita židovského obyvatelstva v Čechách na přelomu 18. a 19. století byla mimořádně vysoká.

The study explores the possibilities and limits of the use of the 1799 census list of Jewish families in Bohemia for historical demography. The source is characterized in terms of its composition, the content of individual sections and the completeness of its preservation. The authors conclude that the census list from 1799 contains considerably less complex data e.g. compared to the 1793 census list and is worse for historical demography, more suitable for micro-study of particular localities or families. Source is not fully preserved (data for 4 counties is missing) and contains data about 5 414 families. An analysis of the settlement structure of the Jews and their spatial mobility (only long-term migrations were observed) showed that the mobility of the Jewish population in Bohemia was extraordinary at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries.
