Erster Teil des Textes beschäftigt sich mit der Statue des stehenden tschechischen Politiker und Historiker František Palacký die als Bestandteil der Innenausstattung des Pantheons – des festlichen Zentralraumes des Nationalmuseums entstand. Weiter resümiert man die Umstände der Enstehung des Prager Palacký-Denkmals (1898 – 1912) – eines Werkes des Bildhauer Stanislav Sucharda - sowie dessen originäle Konzeption und Ikonographie.

First part of the paper deals with the statue of Czech politician and historian František Palacký belonging to the interior decoration of the main festive hall of the National museum. The second one summarizes the circumstances of the Palacký monument in Prague (1898 – 1912) – a work of Czech sculptor Stanislav Sucharda – and analyzes its original concept and iconography.
