The growing complexity of EU formal and informal lawmaking requires the strengthening of forms of cooperation among national parliaments. This chapter puts forward an argument for the instrumental value of parliamentary cooperation in EU lawmaking and reviews two of its manifestations: subsidiarity review and parliamentary accountability.
