Tato kniha se týká česká čtenářské kultury. Jejím východiskem je terénní výzkum založený na orální historii (mezi lety 2009-2015). V daném časovém rozpětí bylo nahráno a posléze přepsáno 138 narativníchrozhovorů z celého spektra české populace (15+). Celý materiál je uspořádán (interpretován) podle třech perspektiv: generace, fenomény, životopisy.

This book deals with the Czech reading culture. Its point of departure consists in the oral history based field work carried out between 2009 and 2015. In tis time span, 138 narrative interviews among the whole spectrum of the the population (15 years and older) were recorded and trascribed. The whole material is organized (interpreted) according to three point of views: generations, phenomena and life-stories.
