The centenary of Ernst Mach’s death was commemorated in 2016. The new EPS Historic Site was ready for the ceremony of unveiling the commemorative plaque on the 18th of February 2016, when about 50 guests arrived. The article describes the event, lists the distinguished guests from abroad and from the Czech Republic. The article also briefly summarises the importance of Ernst Mach for the modern physics in general, and for the physics education in Prague in particular.
