Study is focused on company management in Czechoslovakia from 1956 to 1989. Using archive sources and expert studies this study analyzes position of this specific group of professionals and points out political, economic and also social limits of their functions. Based on a couple of selected examples the study takes a closer look at some problems and conflicts, the socialist managers had to deal with.
