This thesis aims at development of a novel instrumentally extremely simple design of CE-MS coupling in electrode-free approach, where the electrical connection to the electrospray tip is completely omitted. The potential gradient needed for electrophoretic separation is created as a result of capillary resistance. The work is devoted to the preparation of instrumentation, system characterization and finally its application on analysis of samples of biological nature.
