Novel, reliable radiometric enzyme assays were developed. These elaborated radiometric methods were utilized for extremely sensitive determination of enzyme activities of the key enzymes in the metabolism of thyroid hormones, iodothyronine deiodinases, in post-mitochondrial supernatants and microsomal fractions of various rat and human tissues.
