In the 7th and the early 6th century, the Amber Road passed through the river basin of the Morava and along the Eastern Alps. In the 7th and in the first half of the 6th century BC, the existence of jewellery workshops processing amber is proved for Moravian settlements. Later in the 6th - 5th century the Amber Road shifted to the west, it passed through the Bohemian Basin towards the Danube and into northern Italy. The course of long-distance routes is indicated e.g. by imports of Etruscan bronze vessels from the end of the 6th century and from the 5th century BC.
