The aim of our contribution is the analysis of the influence of traffic volume and density of the road network on landscape structure and the carbon sequestration ecosystem service. Study area is Fryštácký potok catchment - small catchment in the forestagricultural landscape of East Moravia (Czech Republic). The landscape development was analysed using landscape-ecological indices in the software ArcGIS 10.x with the help of extension Patch Analyst. The set of indices, describing a structure change and landscape fragmentation rate, were analysed from thematic mapping and aerial photographs from 1953, 2005 and 2012 at the scale of 1:10 000. Using the records of the national traffic census in 2005 and 2010, the transport intensity, road width and the width of the disturbed habitat zone will take into account. The data about carbon sequestration ecosystem service were processed using the model InVEST, after conversion from raster environment into vector environment. In the next step, the model was precised by the calculation of normal sequestration in undisturbed areas (core area) and reduced sequestration in degraded (transient) parts by expert estimation. Due to the road zone effect, the carbon storage decreased in studied watershed. The relationships between density of the road network, traffic volume, land use change and carbon sequestration from 1953 to 2012 are discussed.
