Se centra particularmente en las discusiones en torno a los Institutos de Memoria Nacional y del Instituto Checa para el Estudio de los regímenes totalitarios y trata de analizar el impacto de este desarrollo institucional para la historiografía de la historia contemporánea y la cultura histórica, en general, en Chequia y Europa centro-oriental.

The study is a translation of an earlier article analyzing the Czech “politics of history” in central European context. It focuses particularly on the discussions around the Institutes of National Memory and the Czech Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes and attempts to analyze the impact of this institutional development for the historiography of contemporary history and historical culture in general in Czechia and East Central Europe.
