Článek zkoumá status paměti jako determinanty přítomného lidského jednání na specifickém příkladu posttraumatické stresové poruchy, která je ve své podstatě narušením fungování aktérovy normativní praxe. Snažím se ukázat, že vztah mezi prožitkem zpřítomněným pamětí a jednáním není kauzální ani logický, nýbrž že ve světle prožitého traumatu (zprávy o něm) dává přítomné jednání smysl. Struktura této provázanosti je spíše narativní či hermeneutická.

The paper studies the status of memory as a determinant of the present human action, based on the particular example of post-traumatic stress disorder which is essentially a disordered functioning of the agent's normative practice. I endeavor to show that the relationship between the experience re-presented by memory and the action is neither causal nor logical, but rather that in the light of the (report of the) experienced trauma the present action makes sense. The structure of this connection is rather narrative or hermeneutical.
