The pre-concentration of fungal pathogens, and amphotericin B (0.3 ng mL-1) from blood on segmented strip, and their subsequent CZE, CIEF (UV detection) were tested as fast and low-cost methods to the detection of these analytes in FS capillaries etched with supercritical water and modified with (3-glycidyloxypropyl)trimethoxysilane. Simultaneously, the differences in the chemotaxonomy fingerprints of the microorganisms can be utilized by MALDI-TOF MS.
