High-performance capillary electromigration methods (HPCE), zone electrophoresis (CZE), affinity electrophoresis (ACE), isotachophoresis (CITP), and micellar electrokinetic chromatography (CMEKC), will be presented as powerful techniques for high-sensitive analysis, high-efficient separation and physicochemical characterization of peptide and peptidomimetic drugs. Applications of HPCE to the analysis, purification and characterization of peptide pharmaceuticals already in the use, e.g. Lecirelin and Carbetocin, as well as of potential new peptide drugs, such as e.g. antimicrobial peptides, gonadotropin releasing hormones (GnRHs) and their analogues and fragments, will be demonstrated.
