Konference byla věnována historii Filosofické fakulty University Karlovy v době tzv. normalizace v 70. a 80. letech 20. století. Na základě konfrontace odborných prací nejmladší generace historiků a vzpomínek pamětníků-historiků starších generací se pokusila zachytit autentický obraz dobových poměrů na fakultě, života a práce tehdejších studentů a pedagogů.

The conference was dedicated to the history of the Faculty of Arts of the Charles University in Prague in the normalisation era in 1970s and 1980s. Based on the comparison of the research results of the youngest generation of historians and of the memories of the older generations of historians the conference aimed to capture the authentic picture of the situation, life and work of students and teachers at that time.
