On my poster, I described the role of Cherson in the Pontic and Mediterranean trade network and changes that occurred in Late Antiquity. Furthermore, I will show trade connections of Cherson from the 7th to the mid-9th century AD. How did these connections changed in the course of time? What was the role of Nomads and other non-Greek Crimean peoples in trade with the Byzantines? Which products were traded primarily?
