Presented dissertation thesis is focused on the development and optimization of the decontamination units based on direct photolysis of hydrogen peroxide yielding hydroxyl radicals. Considering its efficiency it is a very atractive technology having a gerat potential to deal with organic pollutants that cannot be treated by conventional remediation technologies. The attention is also paid to inorganic contaminats removed by electrocoagulation proces, because they can negatively interfere with oxidation process.
