We compared groups of amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI) patients with different ApoE status. The groups had similar neuropsychological profile, but more profound deficits in spatial navigation were found in aMCI E4 positive relative to aMCI E4 negative patients and E4 heterozygotes. Thus, the higher probability of developing AD in E4 positive aMCI corresponds with their impaired spatial orientation
