The aim of the meeting is to summarize recent knowledge on: Fish as object of protection and conservation, effects of environmental stressors on fish, fish as indicators of ecological state (incl. ecological quality and potential), fish and food webs (incl. trophic interactions / top-down effects), population ecology of fish, management and monitoring of fish populations and communities, fish and ecosystem services (incl. fish as source of food and leisure activities), ecological aspects of recreational and commercial fisheries.
