Acoustic resonance and antiresonance frequencies of the human vocal tract models were detected by means of acoustic input impedance measured by the system BIAS 6. The vocal tract models were made of plexiglass based on MRI data for vowels /a:/, /i:/ and /u:/. The experimental results were compared with the results of numerical simulations. Computed resonance and antiresonance frequencies differed from the experimental results in the range from 3.8 % to 14.6 % . Experiments with the vocal tract model /u:/ prolonged with the glass resonance tube, used in vocal exercises, confirmed significant decrease of the first resonance frequency down to F1 = 99 Hz compared to the result of mathematical modeling F1 = 78 Hz. The differences between higher resonances computed and measured up to 2.8 kHz were in the range from 1.6 % to 8.9 %, maximum difference of measured and computed antiresonances was 4.2 %.
