The transfer of CD4+CD45RBhigh subset of T cells isolated from spleen of immunocompetent BALB/c mice into conventional SCID mice (mice with severe combined immunodeficiency) leads to development of chronic intestinal inflammation. Altered tight junctions (TJs) mainly ZO-1 and claudin-1 proteins were detected in colitic mice in terminal ileum. Alpha defensine in Paneth cells was no present colitic mice. Structural changes of terminal ileum -TJs and alpha defensine are important feature of intestinal inflammation in transferring model of mouse colitis
