We have studied the charge (or energy) transfer in a two-level hybrid inorganic–organic donor–acceptor system interacting with a vibrational mode embedded in the heat bath. We have shown that the donor population simultaneously decays in time and oscillates with two components corresponding to vibronic transitions 0–0 and 0–1. We have shown that the 0–0 transition decays with longer life-time than the 0–1 component and therefore controls the life-time of the charge (energy) transfer to the acceptor state. We have proved that the rate of the population transfer consists of (I) the non-resonant part given by the Duschinsky coupling in the acceptor state and (II) the resonant part that is additionally controlled by the Huang-Rhys factor of the acceptor state. The resonance appears for integer values of the ratio of energy difference between the donor and the acceptor and the vibrational energy.
