The paper describes the electron beam cutting of non metalic materials, specifically quartz glass and ceramics. It shows dependencies on several parameters of the electron beam (beam curent, machining speed). Method of gradual (percussion) machining by repeated passed of the electron beam, thus reducing risk of fracture.
