An experimental apparatus for measurement of surface tension of supercooled water has been modified in this study. The measuring technique is based on the capillary elevation method inside a vertical capillary tube of a known inner diameter. Modifications of the experimental apparatus on one hand improved the overall accuracy of the measured surface tension of water and on other hand enabled lower degrees of supercooling. The new data are consistent with our previous measurements [Experimental Fluid Mechanics 2012, Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic, 20.-23.11.2012] and agree relatively well with the trend of data by Floriano and Angell [J. Phys. Chem. 94 (1990) 4199-4202]. However, a significant discrepancy at temperatures below -10°C has been detected between the new data and the measurements of Hacker [National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics, Technical Note 2510 (1951) 1-20] performed in a horizontal capillary tube.
