The paper presents a critical review of the tomography results concerning the Bohemian Massif territory. The discussed tomography studies are based on the data acquired in the international refraction experiments covering the Central Europe in 2000-2003 and considerably vary as concerns the approaches and the numerical methods used. In particular, the pure tomographic methods, applied by Růžek in 2007 and Novotný in 2009-2012, do not introduced subjective features into the structural models established by the trial-and-error forward modeling. The interactive modeling, commonly used by the other authors, perhaps brings more fun at a modeler's work but it can hardly comprise more than several tens of model parameters. Necessarily subjective selection of the modeled features denies the objectivity of resulting models. Therefore, the pure tomographic approaches, uniformly restoring all model parameters are better candidates to obtain a velocity image closer to medium. Common predictors for obtaining the maximum resolution in imaging the crustal structures are given.
