Řešení se týká použití cholestanových derivátů k výrobě farmaceutických prostředků pro použití jako protinádorová a antiangiogenní léčiva, včetně postupů k selektivnímu snížení životaschopnosti nádorových buněk. Dále popisuje použití těchto látek pro inhibici angiogeneze inhibováním migrace a tvorby tubulů lidských endotheliálních buněk. Zahrnuje i použití prostředků obsahujících cholestanové deriváty pro regulaci nepříznivých účinků nádorového bujení a angiogeneze savčích buněk in vitro a in vivo u savců.

The present invention relates to the use of cholestane derivatives for the preparation of pharmaceutical compositions intended for use as antitumor and antiangiogenic medicaments, including procedures for selective reduction of tumor cell viability. There is further described the use of these compounds for inhibiting angiogenesis by inhibition of migration and formation of tubules of human endothelial cells. The invention also comprises the use of compositions containing cholestane derivatives for controlling undesirable effects of tumor proliferation and angiogenesis of mammalian cells in vitro and in vivo in mammals.
