Deutsche Präfix- und Partikelverben sind im Vergleich zum Slavischen sehr produktiv. Diese Produktivität entwickelte sich besonders seit dem Frühneuhochdeutschen und kann auch in der Entwicklung der obersorbischen Wortbildung verfolgt werden, welches während dieser Zeit und bis heute in intensivem Kontakt zum Deutschen stand und steht. Anhand von zwei obersorbischen Bibelübersetzungen und der Übersetzung Luthers ins Deutsche zeigen wir, wie die sorbische Verbpartikel zaso ihre Bedeutung veränderte und sich ihre Verwendung entsprechend dem deutschen Äquivalent wieder / wider veränderte.

German prefix- and particle verbs are in comparison to Slavic extraordinarily productive. This productivity developed particularily since the era of Early New High German and can be traced in the development of the formation of verbs in Upper Sorbian, which has had intensive contact to German during the whole period until today. By means of two Upper Sorbian translations of the Bible as well as Luther’s translation into German we can show, how the usage of the Sorbian verb particle zaso changed its meaning and usage in particle verbs according to the development of its German equivalent 'wieder/wider'.
