Studie pojednává o česko-irských kulturních stycích po únoru 1948 až do současnosti. Zabývá se recepcí irské kultury a překládáním irské literatury do češtiny v Československu a také osudem českých exulantů v Dublinu v padesátých a šedesátých, sedmdesátých a osmdesátých letech. Dále mapuje vývoj situace po převratu v listopadu 1989. Ustavení irských studií na Karlově univerzitě a navazování nových kontaktů v nové éře, až do konce devadesátých let.

The study deals with Czech-Irish cultural relations after the communist putsch in February 1948 till the present times. It describes the reception of Irish culture and Czech translations of Anglo-Irish literature published in Czechoslovakia. Also it deals with the lives of Czech exiles in Ireland in fifties, sixties, seventies and eighties. The author further describes the evolution of Czech-Irish connections after the revolution in November 1989. The study describes establishing of Irish studies on Charles University of Prague, Czech translations from Irish and new connections between Ireland and Czech republic till the end of nineties.
