An efficient method combining the headspace solid-phase microextraction (HS-SPME) sampling procedure and comprehensive two-dimensional gas-chromatography/time-of-flight mass spectrometry (GC x GC/TOF-MS) was established to study the volatile secretion components of stink bugs (Heteroptera: Pentatomidae).
