An improved version of glass micro-ebulliometer has been designed for quick measurement of total pressure of vapour – liquid systems for which only a little amount of material is available. Main modification relates to the liquid phase recirculation; condensed vapour phase and equilibrium liquid phase are mixed together before entering the independent line to the heating section which is provided with the throttling. All vapour bubbles formed in the boiler are forced to flow only through the Cottrell pump. This has also eliminated problems caused by back-flashing of vapour bubbles to the liquid phase which has appeared as very problematic for more viscous polymer solutions. Other little steric changes were applied to in order to improve the overall operation.
