The problem of non-stationary vibration of a thin beam made of elastic material whose properties vary in beam transverse direction is solved in this work. The equations of motion derived on the basis of Timoshenko’s beam theory are solved by the help of Laplace and Fourier transforms, so the exact analytical solution is obtained.
