Modification (CSE) of the already published SQSQc (2D) pulse sequence is presented, which enables detection of signed nJ(29Si,13C), n=2,3, as the original SQSQc does. This new 2D sequence has coupling sign information stored in the peak heights of the spectra: either only crosspeaks with positive silicon-carbon coupling are shown and crosspeaks with negative couplings are zeroed or vice versa. The CSE experiment has fourfold higher sensitivity than SQSQc and the CSE sensitivity is comparable with the sensitivity of the E.COSY type experiment.
