The book was prepared on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of publishing Johannes Kepler´s "Astronomia nova" (Heidelberg 1609). Contributions by authors from all over the world deal in this volume with different aspects of Kepler´s life and work in sections titled: Kepler´s Astronomia nova; Kepler´s Mathematics; Kepler and Prague; Kepler´s Contemporaries; Kepler´s Heritage. An attached CD-ROM contains PDF version of the whole volume, short animations belonging to several articles, and scans of two old prints: of Kepler´s treatises "Dissertatio cum Nuncio sidereo" and "Astronomia nova".
