Sborník řeší otázky mezoliticko-neolitických kontaktů v oblasti Balkánu a Karpatské kotliny a předkládá přehled současného vývoje studia. Vznik a vývoj zemědělské společnosti je tradičně nahlížen z hlediska autochtonního či alochtonního. Autoři sborníku patří k obhájcům třetího stanoviska, tzv. integračního.

The proceedings solves the Mesolihic-Neolithic interactions in the Balkans and Carpathian basin and submits the review of the present development of this research. The origin and progress of the farming society is traditionally thinking of the autochtonous and allochtonous aspects. Authors of the proceedings belong to the respondents of the third approach so-called integrationist group.
